Alex Sikora B&W Effect

I had an equal split in POW with #4 and #8

For both photos I used My iPhone5 running the 7.0.4 OS (updated)

After the photos were taken I uploaded them into the recommended VSCO CAM app. (v2.1.5)
On the app I used the x1(amish ladies) and b5(stairwell) filter options to make my photos B&W.

I then plugged in my phone into my computer and imported the photos into PhotoShop where I manipulated the contrast and brightness for richer blacks.
(never went over +25/-25 with any settings)

For the ladies I did a walk by shot with my phone tucked under my arm.
For the stairs I just centered the camera right in the middle to create symmetry with both sides.
